Greetings and salutations everybody.
My name is Alan Bigger. I would like to talk to you for a few
moments about the Breeze Software and my experiences with it over
the years.
Prior to my current assignment as Director of Facilities at Earlham
College, I was at the University of Notre Dame for sixteen years.
And during that time we assessed a variety of software to
look at and the one that we chose as our primary software was
Breeze, because it provided flexibility in multiple areas.
For instance we used it for tracking information about quality
assurance and we literally did tens of thousands of quality
assurance a year (inspections of individual rooms).
It helps us track the quality and then compare it against
productivity. It also
made...(unclear).
We also used the training package to keep track of training records
and also on the job injuries, which was most useful, because at
times when we needed to sit down and work with
employees...(unclear), we had a good record.
The third area where we used it was additional documentation in
reference to what we were doing in our organization.
But Breeze is much more flexible than that.
These are just the components we used.
One of the beauties of it was we were able to integrate it
with our existing databases and also with our PDAs, so that we were
able to do on-the-fly inspections, which was very helpful...and
also help the supervisors not to be tied down to paper.
Now the last thing that I would like to mention about Breeze is the
staff that comes with Breeze.
These are a real pain-in-the-butt.
The staff that comes with Breeze is really what makes the
program unique. It is so easy to buy things canned or off the self,
but then after that, you don’t have the support.
And Breeze will provide the training, the development and
some insight to help you.
And I can tell you that if you dial the 1-800 number, you
will find that someone will actually answer the phone and you will we get
answers. It is very, very flexible.
And that is probably one of the biggest selling points of the
program.
It is great to have software, but if you don’t have people, it
doesn’t work.
